Google Offers $1000 Worth Scholarship For Computer Science Female Students
Google announces scholarships to Asian Pacific female computer students worth Rs.75000 which is an immense amount to carry for two semesters. The scholarship will be provided to the candidates based on the valuation of their core strength in innovation, academic performance, and commitment to diversity.
Google has come up with the 'Generation Google Scholarship' for women who are pursuing a Computer Science degree. This is open to all the students who meet their basic requirements. The last date for applying for the scholarship is 10th December 2021.
Nominated students will receive $1000 for their academic year 2022-2023. The applicants must be pursuing computer science excelling in technology and exemplify leadership in fields.
How to apply
Applications for 2022 are now open. The deadline to apply will be at 11:59 PM IST on Friday, December 10, 2021
Who can apply?
Eligibility criteria to apply, the applicants must be:
Enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's degree of the academic year 2021-2022.
Pursuing 2nd year at an accredited University in Asian Pacific Country while completing the scholarship program.
Studying computer science, cs engineering, or any closely relatable technical field.
Have a strong academic record, possess leadership, and demonstrate a passion for technology.
Students who aren't eligible can visit Google Careers for Students page to find alternate programs and opportunities which are available for your country.
Application Process
This is a completely online process where you have to fill the following:
- General information like contact details, about your degree and intended university.
- Resume or curriculum vitae highlighting your technical project and participation in the community engagement.
- Mark sheet from your current institution.
- Answer two short answer essay questions.
- A 15-minute meeting with shortlisted participants.
- Invitations will be sent 5-7 working days post-application deadline for Google Online Challenge.
Essay Questions:
The two short answer essay questions below are aimed to evaluate your responsibility to diversity, capital, and inclusion, and financial need. Your response to each question written in English must be 400 words or less.
1) What is a significant challenge that you believe women in the tech industry face and how do you see yourself being part of the solution(s) to this challenge? Keep in mind that impact can happen in many ways and at different scales.
2) What impact would receiving this scholarship have on your education? Describe any circumstances affecting your need for a scholarship and what educational goals this scholarship will enable you to accomplish.

- PDF copy of your resume
- PDF copy of your current or most recent transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
- PDF copy of your two short-answer responses
